It’s almost 31 October, so if you don’t have any activities planned yet, here are 10 Halloween scavenger hunt clues you can use with your kids for a fun game.
It also includes a free printable scavenger hunt list of the clues to give to your children – keep reading to get your copy.
Here’s how to play it:
Resources
- List of Halloween clues (see below)
- Items that are the answer to the clues
Preparation
Each of the clues below details 10 scary characters / items, as well as where they should be hidden.
To prepare for this game, you’ll therefore need to hide the items in those places. There are a couple of options for what items you could use:
- Print a picture of each monster and hide those
- Get a toy, accessory, ornament, decoration, etc for each character and hide those
If you want to choose the second option, the list below links to possible items you could use that can be ordered from Amazon.
Instructions
Give the sheet of clues to your kids and send them hunting indoors and out in the front and back yard for the different items.
Alternatively, give them one clue at a time – when they’ve found the first item, give them the second and so on.

Among some rocks it will be
