Idea

Hide these clues all over the house based on the hiding places suggested. Give the first clue to your kid(s) who then have to work out where the next one is hidden.

They’ll keep doing this until they find the pot of gold.

Prize

The final clue leads to the location where a pot of gold is hidden. There are different ‘gold’ prizes you could offer, but here are a few suggestions:

  • Chocolate coins
  • Toy coins

1. To start this off
Look in the place
Where you might choose
To wash your face (Bathroom sink)

2. At the end of the scavenger hunt
You’ll find a pot of gold
But first you’ll find your next clue

The next one on your list

6. This clue was found where
You can tell the hour
The next one is hidden in the place
Where you might take a shower (Bath)

7. I’m glad this clue didn’t get soaked
I’m glad it didn’t get wet
The next one’s where you lay your head
Even though it’s not bedtime yet (Pillow)

8. Today is when we celebrate
Patrick who’s a saint
Your next clue can be found
Where we store the paint (Garage)

9. You’ve almost reached the end of the rainbow

One of your last clues is hidden
