If you need an activity that’s perfect for people of all ages, why not try this candy scavenger hunt.
This idea is a food scavenger hunt with a difference though – there’s no actual food or candy involved!
How does this work?
Players (or teams) are given a list of the items below, or one that you’ve created yourself. They then have to find all the items on the list and take photos of them.
The reason there’s a difference though is that they’re not to take photos of the original candy items. Instead, they have to get creative and take photos that interpret the names of the candies in a different way.
What does this mean?
Here are a couple of examples to explain. One of the items on the list might be ‘Whoppers’. Instead of taking a photo of a pack of the malted chocolate balls, they might take a photo of 2+ burgers from Burger King.
Another candy item on our list below is Baby Ruth. A player could interpret this by taking a photo of a child’s doll reading the book of Ruth from the Bible. Alternatively, if they know anyone called Ruth, they could get her to show them a picture of her when she was a baby for them to take a photo of.

Points
Award one point for each item they take a photo of. Then award bonus points based upon other factors like how creative the photos are, whether they managed to get members of the public involved, whether they were funny, etc.
This pointing system is therefore somewhat arbitrary, so hopefully the players won’t be too upset with how the points are awarded!
Prize
A great prize for this candy scavenger hunt will be – needless to say – candy! One option would be to give the winner all 20 pieces of candy from the list.
