Math Scavenger Hunt Worksheet

Dated By

This math scavenger hunt is great for using in school – the worksheet works perfectly as a homework activity that your students will actually enjoy completing!

This is one of our easiest ideas to organize, as there’s nothing to organize! All you need is a copy of the scavenger hunt list and you’re good to go.

Math Scavenger Hunt Worksheet

Our worksheet contains 12 items for students to find and collect, as well as 3 additional tasks that they can complete to try to earn bonus points.

All the items and bonus tasks have a math-related theme, so cover things like volume, length, percentages, weight, time and much more.

We’ve listed all the items and tasks below – beneath that list, there’s a link to download a list containing these same items. This is completely free and can be printed as many times as you need.

Prize

As this activity will most likely be used as a homework assignment, there may not be a “winner” compared to most other scavenger hunts.

Having said that, there may be one student who brings more items than the others back to the classroom, or one who successfully completes more of the bonus tasks.

If that’s the case, try to have some kind of reward for them, although it doesn’t have to be a prize in the conventional sense. If you’re a math teacher, you could prepare two different homework assignments and allow the “winner” to choose which one the class gets to do.

Make one of the homework assignments harder than the other – that way it feels like more of a reward when they choose the easier assignment, plus they’ll get extra kudos from their fellow students!
