The equipment you need for your scavenger hunt will vary. It will depend on a number of factors, such as:
- Age of players
- Number of players
- Type of scavenger hunt (e.g. item vs photo)
- Budget
To help you with your planning, here are some ideas for items that you may need:
Scavenger Hunt List
The players will need to know what they’re looking for, so provide everyone with a list. Our scavenger hunt book has these lists pre-prepared for you, so you can just go ahead and photocopy them.
Pens
Provide the players / teams with pens so that they can cross off items as they go along.
Clipboards
Although not essential, clipboards can help players keep track of their scavenger hunt list. It also makes it easier to write down any notes that they need to make. This pack of 3 clipboards is a good, cheap option.
Cameras
If you’re doing a photo scavenger hunt, you’ll need something to take pictures with. Most phones nowadays have a good camera, so that should be sufficient in most cases. If you wanted to go old-skool though, why not get some disposable cameras.
